Nothing went the Denver Broncos’ way earlier in the season.
Sean Payton’s team struggled mightily on both sides of the field, and it didn’t seem like he was going to last long in the position.
Fast forward to today, and the Broncos are the hottest team in all of football, riding a five-game winning streak and knocking on the postseason door.
Their defense has been instrumental in this turnaround, and it’s hard to realize that this is the very same unit that allowed 70 points in a single game — the second-highest-scoring performance in league history.
However, NFL analyst Brian Baldinger also wants to give the offensive line a lot of credit, as they’ve improved significantly over the course of the season and are creating plenty of gaps for the running game.
Why has the #broncos OL been playing so well of late? @baldyNFL breaks it down as only he can on The NFL Report.

Talking with James Palmer, Baldinger explained how the Broncos are one of just five teams that have been able to keep the same starting offensive line on the field in every single game, and that continuity has done wonders for them.
The offensive line has improved significantly as the weeks go by, and opponent defensive fronts aren’t getting to Russell Wilson as easily as they had done early in the campaign.
Baldinger added that this is pretty much what every single team hopes happens.
Having a healthy offensive line to rely on and having the guys on the field on every single play helps them develop chemistry and rapport, and that can take a team a long way.
