The Kansas City Chiefs, the two-time defending Super Bowl champions, went 15-2 in the regular season and are about to appear in their seventh straight AFC Championship Game, and almost every time they have needed a break to go their way, they have gotten that type of help.
The flip side, however, is that plenty of people feel they’re vulnerable and ripe for an upset.
In this Sunday’s conference title game, Patrick Mahomes and crew will meet Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the only team that defeated Kansas City this season when Kansas City played their starters.
Per Mad Dog Sports Radio, Adam Schein said that Chiefs fans are nervous about this weekend’s game for one big reason.
“Chiefs fans are nervous because they know that Josh Allen can beat Patrick Mahomes,” said Schein.

Although Allen and the Bills have lost three times in the playoffs to the Chiefs in the previous four seasons, they’re 4-4 versus the Chiefs overall with Allen under center, as Schein pointed out.
Buffalo has come awfully close a couple of times to knocking off Mahomes’ gang, including last season, when they lost by three points in the divisional round after Tyler Bass missed a 44-yard field goal with 1:47 left that would’ve tied the game.
They finished second in points this season, and Allen was responsible for a total of 44 touchdowns either with his arm or his legs while leading the NFL in QBR.
He and his teammates are fresh off of outlasting the Baltimore Ravens in a divisional-round matchup for the ages this past weekend that was decided by just two points.
Given the Chiefs’ three recent Vince Lombardi Trophies and the Bills’ historic struggles in big playoff games, this Sunday’s game will carry tons of weight for both franchises.
