The Dallas Cowboys keep finding new ways to break their fans’ hearts.
Just when they thought they had a win in the bag, a special teams blunder cost them the game on Monday.
That’s why Emmanuel Acho believes this is the end of the line for Mike McCarthy.
Talking on FOX Sports’ “The Facility,” the former NFL player talked about how this mistake was fundamentally wrong altogether, adding that as much as the special teams coordinator also needs to be accountable, this is the kind of thing that ultimately falls on the head coach.
“What it means to me is that Mike McCarthy’s gone,” Acho said.
“This Cowboys’ loss means Mike McCarthy is officially gone as head coach.”

It’s hard to disagree with that statement.
McCarthy reportedly entered the season on the hot seat, and it’s not like he did much to help his case.
Granted, injuries also affected the team’s ability to compete, and they have looked better lately.
Then again, their glaring lack of discipline has been a major issue for years, and that hasn’t changed.
McCarthy’s decision-making, timeout, and clock management have also left plenty to be desired, and it’s just hard to make a case for him being the person they need to lead this team going forward.
