The way the NBA playoffs have unfolded so far has a lot of fans and analysts working to fully grasp what they’re seeing as it has represented a true changing of the guard with all the young teams ousting the biggest superstars of what is now looking like a generation of the past.
One team that has been perhaps the most shocking with it’s dominance so far has a lot of people eating their words, and one analyst is ready to admit he was wrong.
Jason Timpf of Hoops Tonight is admitting he was wrong about the Minnesota Timberwolves after the Game 2 106-80 mauling they handed the Denver Nuggets on their home floor to take a 2-0 series lead, saying “I don’t think I’ve ever been more wrong about a basketball team than I was about the Minnesota Timberwolves.”

Timpf added that he has never been so shocked about how a playoff series has played out as he has been about this Timberwolves/Nuggets series.
He isn’t alone in this assessment, as just two years ago this team traded for Rudy Gobert and many fans and media members went as far as to call it the worst trade in NBA history.
Here we are just a short time later, and Gobert has designed a defense that is so good it held one of the best offensive teams of all time to 80 points at home in a playoff game even without him playing due to the birth of his first child.
If things keep going this way, Timpf will be far from the only media member forced to admit how wrong they were about this team.
