The Kansas City Royals made a few interesting moves this offseason.
They managed to retain right-hander Zack Greinke and also added pitchers Jordan Lyles and Ryan Yarbrough.
Later in the offseason, they signed veteran left-hander Aroldis Chapman.
These moves have everybody associated with the Royals feeling pretty good about things as the 2023 season approaches.
Left-hander Amir Garrett certainly feels good about where the team stands as of now.
He recently got a chance to catch up with analysts at MLB Network and discuss his expectations for the upcoming season.

The veteran left-hander expressed his excitement for this season, stating that there are good vibes right now among the players at Royals camp.
He even went as far as to say that this is the most excited he’s ever been for a season, citing his teammates and their development as reasons to look forward to the regular season.
Garrett also said that it’s an exciting time to be a part of the Royals organization.
Harold Reynolds then chimed in and asked about the hard-throwing lefty’s mentality as he prepares for his seventh MLB season.
Garrett talked about the ups and downs of baseball and all that he’s had to endure in the early stages of his career, and expressed how fortunate he felt to be able to prepare for his seventh season.
The lefty posted a 4.96 ERA in 60 appearances last season with the Royals.
He made his debut with the Cincinnati Reds in 2017 and quickly became a reliable arm out of their bullpen.
