On paper, the Detroit Lions’ Super Bowl window should stay wide open for some more years.
In reality, that might not be the case.
Dan Campbell is close to losing his top assistant coaches, which cannot be overlooked.
According to a report by Adam Schefter of ESPN, Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn could have head coaching jobs as soon as this week (via NFL on ESPN).

We’ve seen how losing two coordinators in the same offseason can hold a team back, and if that happens, coach Campbell will be under a lot of pressure to prove his worth.
The Lions were the odds-on favorites to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl this season after getting the No. 1 seed.
However, they fell short against Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.
Ben Johnson had already withdrawn himself from head coaching consideration last season.
He chose to return to Detroit to take care of some unfinished business with the Lions.
While that wasn’t the case, he’s not likely to make the same decision two years in a row.
As for Glenn, he’s a former player with plenty of connections around the league, and with the job he’s done in charge of a once-struggling defense, it’s only right that he also gets an opportunity.
After so many years of being bottom-feeders, The Lions were so close to the ultimate glory.
Now, whatever happens in the offseason could determine the fate of this team for at least a year or two.
