The Detroit Lions’ season came to a shocking and heartbreaking end.
Despite being at home and the No. 1 seed, Jared Goff’s woes and Jayden Daniels’ greatness were just too much to overcome.
Now, on top of that, they could also lose one of their top assistants.
According to a report by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn is about to have his second interview for the New York Jets head coaching vacancy.
#Lions DC Aaron Glenn, one of the top coaching candidates, is set for an in-person, second interview with the #Jets, per me and @MikeGarafolo.
Glenn will have options and electing to do his first visit to the team that drafted him, where he was an All-Pro, is significant. pic.twitter.com/5H9odk33Qp

The Jets drafted Glenn when he started his All-Pro career, so this will be a chance to come full circle.
This team has the personnel to have one of the best defenses in the game, and a mind like Glenn’s might be just what they need to straighten the course of the ship.
Then again, it will take more than just a head coach to fix the Jets.
They also need a general manager.
Most reports also state that they’re about to let go of Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams in the offseason.
The Jets have been a dysfunctional franchise for way too long, and whoever takes the reins of their project will have a tough challenge ahead of them.
Even so, Glenn has most definitely earned his shot.
The Lions will most likely lose offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, who has also interviewed for multiple head coaching vacancies.
Those will be some big shoes to fill for Dan Campbell and the Lions’ organization after a heartbreaking end to the season.
