One of the biggest names in this year’s coaching cycle is Ben Johnson.
The current offensive coordinator of the Detroit Lions is one of the best assistant coaches in the league.
ESPN senior insider Adam Schefter believes that Johnson is interested in the head coach opening for the Chicago Bears.
“I think he has interest in the (Bears’) job…I’m sure he’s going to talk to them…It certainly seems like he’s a guy that the city wants as the head coach there,” Schefter said Thursday via “The Pat McAfee Show.”

For the Bears, the most important thing is that they find a head coach who can help guide Caleb Williams forward as he matures as an NFL quarterback.
Johnson is currently in charge of the No. 1-ranked scoring offense in the league (32.9)
The Lions are also the second-ranked offense in the NFL when it comes to total yards (408.6).
If Johnson were to come to Chicago and do what he has done in Detroit with Jared Goff and Co. for years now, he would be remembered in the city of Chicago for a long, long time.
There is plenty of talent on the Bears’ offense with Caleb Williams,1,000-yard scrimmage running back D’Andre Swift, and the cast of receivers out wide led by D.J. Moore.
Bringing in Johnson could be the big move that this organization needs to finally reach the level of being a contender in the NFC North.
If they don’t, could they find a better candidate in a guy like Pete Carroll or Mike Vrabel?
