After the Green Bay Packers lost to the Detroit Lions last weekend, much has been unknown about Aaron Rodgers and his status heading into the 2023 season.
Rodgers usually finds himself on the Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday afternoons but wasn’t on the show last week following their heartbreaking loss.
That changed this afternoon, as Rodgers made his first public appearance on the show in two weeks.
#Packers QB Aaron Rodgers on @PatMcAfeeShow says he's not ready mentally or emotionally to make a decision on his future.
"I just need some time right now." Once he is ready, "I'm either all-in or I'm out."

Rodgers made similar comments that he made last season, which asserted that he would need more time to make any sort of decision about his future moving forward.
Currently, Rodgers can either retire, stay with the Packers, or request a trade to a different team.
Whether he is being truthful or not is up to personal interpretation, but, at least in the public eye, Rodgers maintained that he doesn’t know his status in 2023.
If he doesn’t return to the Packers, they will likely roll out Jordan Love, who will be entering his fourth NFL season.
However, if Rodgers does return to the team, the Packers will likely trade Love, considering that they have only played him when Rodgers has been injured or out with COVID-19.
Unless the Packers are truly keeping Love’s talents under wraps, it appears that the team isn’t sold on his ability to lead the team long-term.
Rodgers could move to another team, and, considering the current landscape of the position, many teams would be interested in acquiring the three-time MVP.
For now, it seems as though Rodgers will take quite some time to make his ultimate decision.
