When examining the performance of a certain MLB player, we have to be very attentive to splits.
How a hitter fares at home and on the road; against lefties or righties; or in specific situations will tells us a lot about his ability to play everyday or if his playing time will have to be handpicked for him to be in a position to succeed.
When it comes to New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, pitchers have everything to lose because he has no clear unfavorable splits.
He can hit against lefties and righties, and he is equally good at home or on the road.
In fact, he is quite the road warrior: no one has a higher OPS than him while playing away from home.
“Highest OPS in away games, 2022 (200+ PAs): Aaron Judge, 1.087; Yordan Álvarez, 1.035; José Ramírez, .962; Nolan Arenado, .952; Freddie Freeman, .938; José Abreu, .931; Paul Goldschmidt, .930; Manny Machado, .927,” Codify Baseball tweeted.

A True Road Warrior
Judge has hit 55 home runs this season.
Do you want to know where he has hit them?
He has 29 at home, in Yankee Stadium, and 26 on the road.
In fact, if we ranked Judge’s homers while playing away from home alone in the standings, road Judge would still be top-20 in MLB.
“Road Judge” has the same home runs as Manny Machado, CJ Cron, Jose Ramirez, Willy Adames, and Rhys Hoskins, all established sluggers.
He is currently chasing Roger Maris‘ 61 home runs, the Yankees’ franchise record.
Since he is on pace to finish with 65, that total is very much realistic for the impressive Judge.
He is not all homers, though: with a .302/.403/.682 slash line and a league-leading 8.9 WAR (Wins Above Replacement) he is the prime candidate to win his first American League MVP award when all is said and done.
