Aaron Judge has finally done it.
With his latest home run last night against the Los Angeles Angels, the New York Yankees slugger is now at the 50-homer mark.
On a 1-1 pitch by Ryan Tepera, Judge sent one over the left-center field wall to put New York to within a run of Los Angeles.
The Halos ultimately won by a final of 4-3, but the story of the game was Judge’s big blast, a blast which put him in some elite company with Yankees legends.
With home run No. 50 last night, Judge joined Babe Ruth and Mickey Mantle as the only Yankees players to have had two seasons of 50 or more home runs.

All Rise For No. 50
That’s some elite company right there.
Of course, Judge hit 52 home runs in 2017 on his way to winning the American League Rookie of the Year Award.
With home run No. 50 coming last night, Judge looks prepared to shatter his rookie record from 2017 and even come close to 60 homers, if not reach or pass that mark.
Judge has been on a historic home run pace all season long and has been the driving force for this Yankees ballclub, even in the midst of all their struggles in the month of August.
Judge is the one guy who has remained red-hot throughout the entire season for the Yankees.
The team may be struggling.
But Judge sure isn’t.
He’s still carrying the team and making history with each home run that he hits.
As we’ve said before, it’s hard to imagine him not being named AL MVP at the end of the season.
He’s certainly the overwhelming favorite at this point.
We’ll see if he can get to 60 homers here soon.
