There is crying in baseball, after all.
In the game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Yankees played on Tuesday at Rogers Centre, slugger Aaron Judge hit a home run.
A Jays fan caught the ball, but he had a grand gesture afterwards.
He gifted it to a young Yankees fan with Judge gear, who started crying and gave him a hug in a very touching moment.
Those seconds of pure, innocent passion for baseball went viral and earned the man and the child a place among the best moments of the 2022 season so far.
Yankees’ beat writer Bryan Hoch told Judge about the fans’ interaction after the game in an interview, and the slugger certainly had some comments.
“Told Aaron Judge about the emotional young fan who got his HR ball: ‘That’s passion right there. There’s Yankees fans all around the world. They’re passionate about this game and to have a little one like that, he’s starting out the right way’,” Hoch told via Twitter.

Yankees Fans Love Judge
Judge, who rejected a lucrative contract extension before the season, already has the love and admiration from the Yankees’ fan base even if a few people booed him for turning down that deal.
The most likely scenario still has him re-signing to play in the Bronx for many more years.
He understands the fans, and shares their passion.
And he has had a few share of cool moments like this, too.
He knows what it is like to be a fan and wait for a gesture of your favorite player.
In this case, the gesture came in the way of a home run ball that a complete stranger felt the need to share with the kid.
It was a refreshing moment for fandom all around the world.
