The Detroit Lions entered the 2024 NFL season on a mission.
After falling to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship, the Lions knew they were capable of making it to the Super Bowl.
They have demonstrated their hunger all season, only losing two of their first 14 games, putting them in the No. 1 spot in the NFC.
Despite their success thus far, the Lions have received some criticism lately, especially after losing to the Buffalo Bills last week.
The Bills are one of the best teams in the AFC, so a loss wasn’t necessarily surprising, but the general reaction to this loss has been a shock to the Lions, especially to defensive coordinator, Aaron Glenn.
Reporter Brad Galli shared Glenn’s comments on X, who didn’t mince words when discussing the recent narrative surrounding this team.
“We’re 12-2. Why in the **** is the sky falling for us,” Glenn said, adding, “We have a chance to win out and accomplish everything we want to accomplish. Why should we wallow and think the sky is falling? It’s dumb.”

Glenn is frustrated with the way the media has covered them in recent days and is particularly bothered by the talk surrounding the team.
While the Lions have been great all year, there are a few concerns with the amount of injuries they’ve had to deal with all year, especially on the defensive side of the ball.
But with their ‘next man up’ approach, Glenn and Dan Campbell believe they have the right players in place, holding onto the hope that they can make a run at the Lombardi Trophy.
