The 2023 NFL Draft is only a couple of weeks away, with every team in the league doing its due diligence on top prospects in order to get their draft board ready for April 27.
One team that will have a difficult decision to make on the first day of the draft is the Las Vegas Raiders, who currently own the No. 7 overall pick and could decide to trade up if they can get their hands on one of the top quarterback prospects.
The consensus right now is there are four top-tier quarterbacks in this upcoming draft, with C.J. Stroud out of Ohio State potentially being taken in the top five, if not No. 1 or No. 2 overall.
On Tuesday, the Raiders made some news when Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that Stroud is in Las Vegas meeting with the storied NFL franchise.

At this point, it may be a stretch that the Raiders can draft Stroud as he’ll arguably be one of the first two quarterbacks off the board, with the other being Bryce Young out of Alabama.
Despite the longshot of Stroud falling to the Raiders, even if they make a trade up to No. 3, Josh McDaniels and company are doing their homework on the former Buckeyes star in the unlikely event they have an opportunity to bring him in.
Other potential quarterback targets for the Raiders include the University of Kentucky’s Will Levis and Anthony Richardson out of the University of Florida.
Only time will tell if the Raiders will draft a quarterback, or whether Stroud becomes a possibility on draft day.
