The New Orleans Saints are the last team in the NFL that is looking to fill its head-coaching vacancy.
After interviewing a number of candidates, the team is starting to get clarity on who their next leader could be.
NFL Network insider Mike Garafolo said that the leader could be Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore.
“Coming off the Saints’ second interview with Kellen Moore, the Eagles’ OC remains the most likely head coach in New Orleans but nothing is, or can be, finalized at this point,” Garafolo wrote on social media Tuesday.

This news comes after former Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy decided to withdraw his name from the running and focus on the 2026 hiring cycle.
Kellen Moore has been a rising name in league circles for a little bit now.
The former All-American quarterback out of Boise State, who also spent time with the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys in his six-year NFL career, has made waves as an offensive coach over the last half-decade.
He spent four seasons as the Cowboys offensive coordinator (2019-2022) before becoming the Los Angeles Chargers offensive coordinator in 2023.
This season, he has helped lead the Philadelphia Eagles to another Super Bowl appearance as their offensive coordinator.
Ranking in the top 10 of the league in multiple major categories this season, the Eagles offense has become a juggernaut thanks to the coaching job done by Moore and the historical play from superstar running back Saquon Barkley.
Once the Eagles’ season ends, Moore could then be free to take the job in New Orleans if it is offered to him.
