Often times, crazy things happen in sports, and it doesn’t always include what is actually happening within the game being played.
During a spring training game between the Miami Marlins and Boston Red Sox, a member of the animal kingdom found its way onto the field.
In the top of the seventh inning, a cat ran out onto the field and caused a brief stoppage in play.
The cat ran around the field and eventually found its way into the stands at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium.
MLB posted a video of the cat making the rounds during the game.

Catch him if you can.
That cat was on a mission and was as fast as could be.
The cat even almost made contact with Red Sox sideline reporter Tom Caron.
The Red Sox announcers checked in their friend to see if he was okay.
Caron revealed that the cat almost got into his hair, which would have posed a problem.
Fortunately, the cat made its way up to the concourse.
Caron jokingly said that perhaps the little furball was going for a beer before the last call for alcohol.
Either way, the crowd was enthralled by seeing a little critter out on the field and later in the stands.
It certainly isn’t an ideal place for an animal to be, but when animals collide with the sports world, things get interesting, and you can’t go wrong with a cat at a baseball game.
