First, it was the top players of the Los Angeles Rams who received huge contract extensions.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford received a four-year, $160 million deal while reigning Offensive Player of the Year Cooper Kupp got a three-year, $80.1 million extension.
Of course, head coach Sean McVay wasn’t left behind after the organization gave him a contract extension.
It’s the perfect reward for leading the Rams to victory in Super Bowl LVI and the perfect redemption arc after losing Super Bowl LIII.
The terms of the deal have not been disclosed but general manager Les Snead might have increased his annual salary.

Though he’s still one of the youngest head coaches in the league, he has already attained the game’s biggest prize.
More importantly, he has transformed the Rams into a premier contender with a dominant offense.
He’s not just helping his players succeed but has also established his coaching tree at a young age.

However, is it possible that the contract has been finalized months ago and they are only making it public now?
I say this somewhat indifferently, but the Rams and Sean McVay have lied about dozens of things in the last decade.
I don't sincerely understand why anyone would care at this point. https://t.co/3kmkoE6pmO

But with McVay in place, the Rams have all the tools to chase another Super Bowl championship.
Stafford, Kupp, and Cam Akers will lead the offense that has been explosive all throughout the 2021 season.
Having Van Jefferson back from surgery and the inclusion of Allen Robinson gives Stafford more options.
We are SO blessed to have Sean McVay! 👇🏼 https://t.co/ah3OOuvKtP

An Elite Rams Defense
On defense, the Rams have the same tenacity with Jalen Ramsey and three-time Defensive Player of the Year Aaron Donald.
The addition of All-Pro linebacker Bobby Wagner will also boost their means to stop opposing teams from scoring.
#Rams HC Sean McVay confirmed today that he has signed a contract extension with the team.
A new contract for GM Les Snead is still in the works.

With these players returning, the Rams should be one of the favorites to win it all again in 2022.
However, their winning ways start from McVay’s innovative schemes that lead his team to success.
