The Philadelphia 76ers have some of the fiercest fans in the NBA.
That’s why they might not be able to ignore a recent revelation regarding Tyrese Maxey.
In a clip from the All-Star weekend, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson admitted to being a Philadelphia Eagles fan, teasing Maxey to reveal which NFL team he rooted for.
Needless to say, Brunson was well aware of what he was doing, as Maxey is actually a Texas native.
Thus, he roots for the Dallas Cowboys.

For those who lack context, the Cowboys and Eagles are fierce divisional rivals.
Even so, Maxey has done more than enough to earn the hearts and love of Sixers fans.
He’s put the team on his shoulders, even without reigning MVP Joel Embiid, and barring a major turn of events, he’s going to be in the City of Brotherly Love for years to come, as he’s likely going to sign a big contract extension with the organization.
So, as long as he doesn’t wear Cowboys apparel into the Sixers’ facility, they should be just fine with his life choices.
As for Brunson, he went to college in Villanova, so he’s got plenty of fans in Pennsylvania, and it’s not that odd to see him rooting for the Eagles.
Maybe, the Sixers could look to lure him back home later in his career.
