For years, people have talked and speculated about Zion Williamson’s future with the New Orleans Pelicans.
He’s been rumored to be on his way out of New Orleans multiple times.
Some have even questioned his work ethic and feel for the game.
However, whatever the case, he’s still there, and it seems like he’s never actually been available.
With that in mind, the former No. 1 pick wanted to make it loud and clear that he’s in the Big Easy for the long run.
Following his team’s big win over the New York Knicks, he claimed that as much as playing at Madison Square Garden is quite fun, he’s good in New Orleans (via Pels Film Room and Legion Hoops).
“New York is the Mecca of basketball. You can tell the fans are really behind the Knicks… but for me, I’m good in NOLA,” Williamson said.

Zion was tied with a move to the Knicks multiple times earlier in his career, mostly because they already had fellow Duke product RJ Barrett.
Speculation was even higher when they also acquired Cam Reddish, and the fans argued that they could look to get the Blue Devil band together.
Now, Reddish and Barrett are somewhere else, and the Pelicans aren’t considering trading Zion.
