The defending National League champion Philadelphia Phillies made a key move this past offseason to give themselves a chance to return to the Fall Classic.
They signed Trea Turner to an 11-year, $300 million contract.
Turner gave them a power bat and an elite shortstop in just one move.
The veteran shortstop is widely considered one of the best in the game and is also looked up to by many of his teammates.
His Phillies teammate, pitcher Zack Wheeler, praised him for being one of the coolest players in all of baseball.
However, Wheeler hilariously walked back his comment when he realized he had left out Bryce Harper.
The MLB podcast “Foul Territory” tweeted the video of Wheeler’s interview.
Is @treavturner the coolest guy in MLB?
Zack Wheeler says YES … until he realizes he left out @bryceharper3 😂 @Phillies https://t.co/GUoQrcEROO pic.twitter.com/jaOhY6R24n

Wheeler praised Turner for his speed and his power.
He also gave a shoutout to slugger Kyle Schwarber for his power.
However, former catcher A.J. Pierzynski pointed out that he had missed Harper.
Upon realizing this, Wheeler laughed and stated that Harper was his “guy.”
He then joked that he may catch some flack from Harper later for saying that Turner was cooler.
Pierzynski suggested that Wheeler may end up in “team detention” as a result.
Wheeler was certainly quick to correct himself upon realizing he had made a slight mistake by leaving Harper out of the equation.
Fortunately, he was able to do just that and remind everybody that Harper was in fact one of the coolest players in all of baseball.
The Phillies are currently 38-35 on the season and are just 2.5 games out of the third National League Wild Card spot.
