The Dallas Cowboys have been the subject of debate throughout the NFL offseason.
Many have talked about Dak Prescott’s value to the organization and others have discussed Mike McCarthy’s place as head coach and much more.
Despite some of the negativity that has surrounded the team, a recent update is a bright spot for one of the team’s players.
According to Madden’s official Twitter account, Zach Martin has been named to their 99 club.

As this account points out, Martin is the first guard to be given a 99 rating since 2003.
Martin is routinely touted as one of the league’s top offensive linemen and is now recognized by the most popular NFL video game.
He’s a six-time first-team All-Pro and will look to increase his total to seven after this season.
However, recent reporting has suggested that Martin is unhappy with his contract with the Cowboys, especially when comparing it to others with similar accolades.
As a result, Martin could refuse to attend training camp, sparking tension between him and the team.
While the Madden rating is certainly a positive for Martin and a testament to his dominance in the position, it doesn’t take this conflict away.
The reports of his unhappiness came just a few hours after the Madden announcement, an interesting coincidence.
Fans will have to wait and see Martin’s status moving forward, as the Cowboys are scheduled to begin training camp soon.
More updates will follow in an unexpected situation with one of the Cowboys’ most prevalent stars.
