Zaccharie Risacher Has Made NBA History

The Atlanta Hawks scored an exceptional win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday night, sneaking past them with a final score of 121-116.

Several Hawks stars flew high during the game but it was rookie Zaccharie Risacher who did the most for his team.

The No. 1 overall draft pick scored 33 points, seven rebounds, three assists, three steals, and two blocks during the game.

According to StatMuse, that means Risacher is the first teenager in NBA history with 30+ points, 5+ three-pointers, 2+ steals, and 2+ blocks in a single game.

Many questions swirled around Risacher when he recently entered the league but he might be answering them all.

A lot has been said about the most recent NBA draft class and most of the comments have been negative.

Some people say it’s the weakest class in years and there has been criticism pointed at Risacher as well.

This 33-point game goes a long way to show why the Hawks selected him as the top pick in the draft.

But now he will have to stay consistent and keep playing well to silence all critics.

So far this season, Risacher is averaging 12.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.3 assists on 37.9% from the field.

As you can see, Wednesday’s game was his best yet.

Is this the start of a special run of games for Risacher or will he struggle to reach these heights again?

The Hawks are currently the fifth team in the East with a 4-5 record.

They travel to Detroit to take on the Pistons this Friday before heading back home to play the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night.
