The New England Patriots still haven’t been able to recover from Tom Brady’s departure.
Replacing Bill Belichick with Jerod Mayo only made things worse, and they regressed even more in his lone season in charge.
Fortunately for them, help is on the way, and the future might be bright in Foxboro.
They hired a proven winner and veteran head coach in Mike Vrabel, and they have a promising star to build around in Drake Maye.
That’s why the former No. 3 pick is making sure to do his part during the Pro Bowl Games.
Talking to Kay Adams on her “Up & Adams” show, the UNC product admitted that he had been doing some recruiting, making the most of his time with some of the best players around the league:
“Definitely… I let ’em know that the Pats got some things to make some moves this offseason,” he said.
Did #Patriots QB Drake Maye do any recruiting while he was at the Pro Bowl??? ??

The Patriots will have a lot of money to spend in free agency, and with Vrabel at the helm and Maye getting another full offseason to work on his game and development, they might be one of the most improved teams in the NFL.
They will reportedly be aggressive in their pursuit of Tee Higgins and have a very valuable draft pick, which will allow them to add more young talent to their roster.
It will take a while, and while Maye’s first campaign in the league was encouraging, he’s still a work in progress.
The Patriots organization is used to competing at the highest level, so they will most definitely go the extra mile to get back to their winning ways sooner rather than later.
