The Baltimore Orioles have been one of Major League Baseball’s most compelling and interesting teams this season.
After a relatively quiet offseason, the O’s got off to a hot start and built off of their strong finish in 2022.
Last year, they won 83 games and missed the postseason by just three games.
This year, they have the best record in the entire American League at 82-49, while also holding a 2.5-game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East.
One of their key factors recently has been young right-hander Grayson Rodriguez.
On Monday, the 23-year-old turned in a solid start, pitching six shutout innings against the woeful Chicago White Sox while allowing just one hit and striking out six.
On Twitter, Orioles writer Nathan Ruiz pointed out just how dominant Rodriguez has been since rejoining the team’s rotation.
That’s four straight starts of at least six innings for Grayson Rodriguez. His ERA in eight starts since rejoining the Orioles is 2.83.

Ruiz points out that since being added back into the rotation, Rodriguez owns a solid ERA of 2.83.
The 23-year-old has also turned in four consecutive starts of at least six innings.
He’s made eight starts since being added back into the rotation.
But this is an impressive mark and an encouraging sign for the Orioles, who are gearing up for the postseason and hoping to make a deep run into October.
Rodriguez’s strong pitching would certainly be a big boost for the Orioles if he can keep it up down the stretch.
He won his fourth game of the season last night and lowered his ERA on the season to 5.03 with his six shutout innings.
