The New York Yankees and New York Mets are adding another legendary game to the Subway Series.
On Wednesday, it will be Justin Verlander pitching for the Mets with Gerrit Cole for the Yankees.
Two of the best pitchers of this generation will square off in a must-see regular-season matchup.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone talked about this matchup and how legendary it will be.
According to Deesha Thosar, Boone said this pitching matchup is what makes the rivalry so great.

With the way this season is playing out, both teams need wins.
The Yankees sit eight games out of first place in the AL East, while the Mets are 9.5 games out of first in the NL East.
So far this season, Verlander has not been good.
He is in his age-40 season and has an ERA of 4.85 through seven starts.
The Mets took a chance on Verlander this offseason after he won the AL Cy Young last year.
But, it appears that Father Time has finally caught up to the Hall-of-Fame righty.
He missed time earlier in the season with a teres major muscle strain.
If the Mets want any chance of getting back to the playoffs they need Verlander to return to form.
On the other hand, Cole has been very good again this season.
He has a 7-1 record and a 2.84 ERA in a league-leading 14 starts.
Hopefully, we get the best version of Cole and Verlander on Wednesday night in what could be one of the best matchups of the season.
