On Wednesday, Aaron Judge hit home run No. 55.
That puts him six home runs shy of tying the all-time American League record set by Roger Maris in 1961.
Judge has had nothing short of a historic season in what could be his final year with the New York Yankees, as he is a free agent at the end of the year.
He’s been carrying the Yankees all season long with his ability to crush the baseball.
On Twitter, a former Yankees legend in Alex Rodriguez expressed his excitement for Judge’s 55th home run and encouraged him to keep up the great work and break the record.
55! Congrats @TheJudge44! Keep going, break the record https://t.co/yYY49x8UyL

A-Rod Cheers On Judge
The record is certainly well within reach.
For a Yankee to be able to break that record would be something special.
Judge isn’t showing any signs of slowing down as the pennant chase heats up, but it’s nice to see A-Rod give him a little praise on Twitter.
It’s an exciting time in baseball.
The postseason is drawing nearer and one of the best hitters in the game has a chance to break a record.
Judge hit 52 home runs in his rookie season back in 2017, but his power surge this year is dwarfing what he did five years ago.
It’s hard enough to try and strike him out, but it’s going to be even harder to stop him from breaking the record with his current home run pace.
A-Rod certainly hopes to see Judge break the record, and he’s definitely excited to see what the next few weeks have in store for the Yankees and their slugger.
We’ll see if Judge can break the record.
Things are getting exciting in New York as he chases it.
