The New York Yankees need to get Aaron Judge back in their lineup as soon as possible.
He is by far their best hitter and one of the best in baseball.
Yet Judge suffered a toe injury crashing into the wall at Dodger Stadium.
He was placed on the injured list and his return date is still unknown.
But the Yankees have received some good news regarding Judge’s status.
According to Gary Phillips, Judge said he has felt better walking of late and has started playing catch.
Aaron Judge said he's begun some light hitting, in addition to playing catch. Said he's felt better walking lately. Still undecided on going to Seattle for the All-Star Game. #Yankees

Judge has only played in 49 games this season but he has been elite in those games.
He is hitting .291 with 19 home runs and 40 RBI.
His OPS is once again over 1.000 and he was making another push for AL MVP before the injury.
The Yankees will not be able to make a serious playoff push without Judge.
He can carry their offense and they lack home-run hitters other than him.
It will be interesting to see if the Yankees can stay afloat without Judge.
The Yankees are nine games out of first place in the AL East but they are tied for second place in the AL Wild Card standings.
It would be a surprise if the Yankees do not make some moves at the trade deadline.
They are always aggressive to try and improve their team and they might be looking for another bat in Judge’s absence.
The Yankees have made the postseason every year since 2017.
But that streak seems to be in jeopardy this season.
