The New York Yankees won an exciting game on Monday night in Seattle against the Mariners.
They might have lost an important player, though, at least for a few days.
Harrison Bader had to depart the game with a lower-body injury.
Yankees fans are worried: they already know what it’s like to play without Bader and it doesn’t look good most of the time.
He is an asset with the glove and a very competent hitter who can hit a few homers and steal a few bases here and there.
The reports coming from the organization are encouraging, but not definitive.
“Aaron Boone on Harrison Bader, who is scheduled for an MRI on his right hamstring tomorrow: ‘They don’t seem to think it’s too serious, but you don’t want to rule out an IL [assignment]. We’ll see what we have tomorrow,’” Yanks insider Bryan Hoch tweeted while quoting the skipper.

He should be back in a few days, but everything will be dictated by the MRI.
That’s when the Yanks will know whether they will have him back this week or if he needs an injured list stint.
Bader exited Monday’s series opener after his right hamstring tightened up while running out a third-inning infield single.
We know how tricky hamstring injuries can be, so the Yankees are expected to handle it with care.
They will likely hold him out of action for at least a couple of games even if the MRI shows nothing.
Any strain or tear will automatically send him to the IL.
Bader is hitting .267/.295/.511 with six homers and six stolen bases in 26 games.
