This weekend, two MLB powerhouses will meet in a three-game series at Dodger Stadium.
It will be the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers competing in this weekend’s three-game set.
The two legendary franchises share a ton of history with one another, dating back to the Dodgers’ days in Brooklyn.
The two teams often met in the World Series and had a truly fierce rivalry.
However, these two teams have not met since August 25, 2019.
The last time they met, Aaron Judge took Clayton Kershaw deep.
Kershaw is pitching on Friday night to kick off the series.
On Twitter, the page for the podcast “Talkin’ Yanks” posted a video of the moment when Judge took Kershaw deep.

The last time these two teams met was during the most recent “Players’ Weekend.”
The Yankees and Dodgers were both wearing uniforms with player nicknames on the back of their jerseys.
But Judge is coming into this series knowing that he’s had some success against Kershaw and the Dodgers, as evidenced by the video of the slugger hitting a home run off of the three-time Cy Young Award winner.
This season, Kershaw is 6-4 with a 3.32 ERA.
Several of the same players that were on the Yankees roster then are still with the team.
Judge, DJ LeMahieu, Gleyber Torres, Luis Severino, and others remain with the team.
So naturally, there will be some familiarity between the two teams.
But it has been almost four years since the two clubs faced off against each other.
