The Houston Texans took a massive leap forward in 2023, mainly due to the emergence of C.J. Stroud.
While it was risky to have their rookie quarterback start the entire season, the Texans trusted in him, and it paid off.
The Texans made the playoffs in Stroud’s rookie year, a sign that the team was ready to compete after a few key additions.
It might have been an impressive accomplishment for the Texans to get to the postseason, but they don’t just want to make the playoffs in 2024 and beyond.
The Texans have made several moves during the offseason to improve their team, and if a recent report is any indication, they could add another marquee player.
According to Around The NFL, Xavien Howard has noted that he “would love” to play for the Texans, adding, “I want to win a Super Bowl now.”

This could give Howard the opportunity he is looking for, giving him a chance to leave the Dolphins and join a team he thinks will give him a better chance of winning a ring.
The Dolphins have looked dominant at times throughout the past few seasons, but since they haven’t gotten to an AFC Championship or Super Bowl recently, Howard could be growing impatient.
The Texans could provide him with this opportunity to make a deep playoff run, especially if Stroud’s play takes another step forward in 2024.
