There are many terrific centers in the NBA right now such as Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets and reigning MVP Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers.
But who is the future of the league when it comes to talented big men?
According to Kyle Kuzma of the Washington Wizards, Alperen Şengün of the Houston Rockets is the “next great center” of the NBA.
Kuzma disclosed his opinion about Şengün during a Twitter wide-ranging and revealing Q&A.

Anyone paying attention to the league can clearly see why Kuzma would say such a thing about Şengün, who is now in his third year in the NBA.
The Turkish-born Rockets star is averaging 21 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.
His stat line has continually improved year after year and now there are many people, including Kuzma, who think that he could be the best of the best within just a few years.
Some compare Şengün to Jokic, another big man who can read the floor well and create some exhilarating assists.
Şengün can also play with some surprising speed and youthful energy.
His skills are just one of the reasons why many people are paying close attention to the Rockets.
There are several superstars in the making playing for Houston and they have a chance of being a legitimately threatening team in the playoffs soon.
With a new coach and a group of great up-and-comers on the roster, the Rockets could be evolving in some noticeable ways.
They are currently the tenth team in the West with an 8-9 record, which shows that they aren’t yet the playoff contenders they could be.
But Şengün is repeatedly drawing a ton of attention and for good reasons.
