The Suns proved to the world that they are real contenders.
Most media outlets had the Suns losing in the first round.
LeBron James is undefeated in first-round series and he was going to roll over the inexperienced Suns.
Chris Paul got hurt in Game 1 of that series and it looked like all hope was lost.
However, the Suns recovered and dominated the last two games of the series to close it out.
Their next task is defeating this year’s MVP in Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets.
Can the Suns be title favorites now?
Yes, and here is why.
Leadership Of Chris Paul
Paul is the ultimate leader of a basketball team.
He increases a team’s level of play to heights you wouldn’t expect.
This is what he has done throughout his whole career.
The previous two years were all about how he is washed up and on a bad contract.
Now he is close to making the NBA Finals for the very first time in his career.
NBA fans get so obsessed about the value of a contract in a vacuum but no team that’s ever traded for Chris Paul has regretted it.

Paul transforms teams as soon as he steps in the locker room.
Teammates respect him and play hard every single second.
The Suns needed Paul on this roster to take them to the next level.
The Western Conference Is Wide Open
We all believed it was a forgone conclusion that the Lakers would be in the Finals.
The public is conditioned to seeing the Golden State Warriors or LeBron in the Finals.
The NBA has become predictable over the years with the lack of upsets.
However, the Suns won and proved a lot of doubters wrong.
The four teams left in the Western Conference have never won a championship before.
It is extremely wide open for any of the four remaining teams.
The Suns have the roster to compete with the best.
They can beat any of the remaining teams in a series.
Do not be surprised to see the Suns in the NBA Finals this season.
Devin Booker
The Suns’ best player in the playoffs has been their All-Star guard, Devin Booker.
Booker has already had some unbelievable games thus far in the playoffs.
Some were skeptical of Booker entering his first playoffs and being as great as he was in the regular season.
Well, Booker kept everyone quiet with his high level of play.
This includes his Game 6 performance against the Lakers on the road.

Booker is ready for the spotlight and to take his place as one of the best in the world.
The young man can show that he is the best player remaining in the Western Conference with more showings like the one in Game 6.
The Suns have Paul as their leader, but Booker is the man of this team.
He can score at will and isn’t afraid of being guarded by the best.
The Suns and Booker are ready for a title run.
