Last season, the Golden State Warriors hoped to repeat as NBA champs and win their fifth ring in nine years, but their efforts fell short, as they lost in the second round of the playoffs to the Los Angeles Lakers.
They made a big change during the offseason by trading Jordan Poole for 38-year-old future Hall of Famer Chris Paul, and fans and pundits seem split on whether it will turn out to be a good move.
With the start of training camp set for Tuesday, Oct. 3, the Warriors have officially released their roster for camp.

They will have a considerably older team than they did at this time last year when they reported to training camp as the reigning world champs.
At that time, they were going through a soft youth movement around the old guard of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, and that movement included Poole, a key member of their 2022 squad, and center James Wiseman.
But Wiseman was traded at midseason, while Poole regressed a bit after shooting a high percentage throughout the 2021-22 campaign.
Another issue the Warriors have is their lack of size in the frontcourt — Kevon Looney, their starting center, is 6-foot-9, and their tallest rotation player is 6-foot-10 Dario Saric.
They will also have to figure out whether Paul will come off the bench for the first time in his career or if he will be added to their starting lineup, which would likely mean Thompson would move up to the starting 3 position.
