The Buffalo Bills were one of the best teams in the league this season.
Now, none of that will matter.
Of course, being at home gives them a big edge, but the playoffs are a win-or-go-home scenario, and as such, everybody gets a clean slate.
Notably, their first playoff game will also mean more for one of their stars.
Von Miller, who won a Super Bowl with the Denver Broncos, will get to go against his former team.
Then again, when asked about that, he admitted to the Denver Post that there were no hard feelings whatsoever:
“I’ve had two days to really think about it, and it’s all love,” Miller said on Wednesday, via Ryan McFadden of The Denver Post.
Miller joined the Bills when he was well of age, and some doubted that he could keep his strong play up at that point in his career.
Outside of an injury, he’s proved the doubters wrong.
Miller has been a staple on Sean McDermott’s physical defense.
He continues to be a prime pass rusher in this game.
The Bills are favored by more than a touchdown, but the Broncos won’t make life easy on them.
They have an experienced head coach with Super Bowl knowledge in Sean Payton, and their defense is also strong.
The Broncos also have a promising young quarterback in Bo Nix.
It will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure of the playoffs, especially on the road.
That’s where veteran and proven players like Von Miller will be crucial.
Who’ll have the last laugh?
We can only wait and see.
