Vince Carter was recently honored as the first Toronto Raptors star to have his jersey retired.
It was a major milestone and a huge moment in Carter’s life.
But while Carter was the first, he won’t be the last.
While speaking with the hosts of “Run It Back,” per ClutchPoints, Carter was asked which Raptors star should be next to see his jersey raised to the rafters.
Carter quickly responded, “Naturally, we’re going to say Kyle (Lowry).”
He also added that DeMar DeRozan has done enough to have his jersey retired but thinks that Lowry is a no-brainer.

Carter stressed that he ultimately doesn’t have any say in Toronto’s decision, so he doesn’t know who will or won’t have their jerseys retired.
But his opinion is that Lowry has done more than enough to receive such an honor.
Lowry averaged 17.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game during his nine seasons with the Raptors.
He was also on the team’s championship-winning roster, which only adds to his significance in franchise history.
As great as Lowry was, he didn’t remain with the Raptors for the entirety of his career and left in 2021-22 to play for the Miami Heat.
He is now a member of the Philadelphia 76ers, where he is averaging 8.4 points and 3.4 assists per game.
The Raptors haven’t said who is next on their list, but most fans agree that Lowry is the logical choice.
But because Lowry is still in the league, it may be some time before they announce any news related to his jersey retirement.
