Yordan Alvarez found himself experiencing the moment of a lifetime when he took Robbie Ray deep to deliver an 8-7 walk-off win for the Houston Astros in Game 1 of the ALDS on Tuesday.
Game 2 takes place today as the Seattle Mariners try to battle back and even the series.
One lucky young fan out in right field caught Alvarez’s home run ball on Tuesday.
Dillon Harrell from New Caney, Texas, got a chance to meet Alvarez this morning thanks to the Correa Family Foundation.
Harrell attempted to give the ball back to Alvarez, but Alvarez insisted on him keeping it.

Alvarez Meets Fan, Lets Him Keep HR Ball
Today is this fan’s lucky day.
First, he caught a walk-off home run ball from of postseason game.
Two days later, he gets to meet the guy who hit it.
On top of that, when he tried to give Alvarez the ball, the star insisted that he kept it.
So, not only did he get to meet Alvarez, but he also got to keep a postseason home run ball, let alone, one that was a walk-off home run.
You can’t ask for much more than that.
But it’s nice to see Alvarez not only taking time out of his day to meet this young fan, but also letting him keep the home run ball.
This is a nice moment between Alvarez and this fan.
The fan had his dreams come true when he got a chance to actually meet Alvarez.
You can’t draw it up any better for this fan.
We’ll see if he gets a chance to catch another home run ball this postseason.
