After a letdown in Week 1 of the 2023 NFL season, the Kansas City Chiefs have almost casually reeled off a six-game winning streak and established themselves as top of the class in the AFC.
The Chiefs had another dominant two-way showing in Week 7 against the Los Angeles Chargers as the offense and defense took turns making plays.
There have been some concerns about the lack of explosiveness in the Kansas City offense, though Patrick Mahomes put some of those doubts to bed as he passed for 424 yards and four touchdowns.
Mahomes also rushed for 29 yards for good measure, keeping the Chiefs offense on schedule for the entirety of the afternoon.
However, Mahomes got plenty of help as his running mate Travis Kelce had his best game of the season after he reeled in 12 receptions for 179 yards and a score.
After the game, Kelce was seen talking to Chargers rookie Scott Matlock and offered him some veteran advice, via NFL Films.

Matlock comes up to Kelce and tells him he’s a huge fan of the star tight end and later asks him for some advice.
Kelce tells Matlock that he should try to understand the other side of the ball as much as he understands his side and also have fun doing it.
It’s simple advice, but really good insight from Kelce who has been around long enough to know how to get the job done.
Although Kansas City and Los Angeles are rivals, it’s good to see players like Kelce embrace the young players and offer help when they can.
