The San Antonio Spurs recently won the 2023 NBA Draft Lottery, with the storied franchise coming out on top with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming 2023 NBA Draft.
With that pick, the team will almost certainly pick French phenom Victor Wembanyama, who has taken the basketball world by storm over the past year or so with some uncanny skills while being only an inch shorter than former Houston Rockets superstar Yao Ming.
Wembanyama will be the star attraction heading into the 2023-24 NBA season, with everyone wanting to get a look at the 19-year-old that most people believe will be the league’s next superstar.
In the meantime, Wembanyama is playing professionally overseas and continues to be on highlight reels that leave basketball fans with their jaws on the floor.
In the most recent highlight sent out by the NBA, Wembanyama blocks a three-point attempt and then scores on the other end with a smooth mid-range jumper.
Block the jumper, hit the jumper!
Wemby is a force.

Although Wembanyama has been lighting up the scoreboards with jaw-dropping highlights on a regular basis overseas, it remains to be seen whether his talent will carry over to the NBA level.
Most pundits, media members, and teams in the league believe he’s the real deal and will be the next great big man in San Antonio, following in the footsteps of Hall of Famers David Robinson and Tim Duncan.
On June 22, the Spurs will officially be on the clock as the NBA Draft gets underway, with perhaps the easiest decision to make in franchise history, as it will be only a matter of time before Wembanyama is wearing a Spurs jersey.
