LeBron James is more than just the best player for the Los Angeles Lakers and a basketball icon for the ages.
He is also someone who is interested in finance, innovation, and pushing the game forward.
He doesn’t lend his name to many products or businesses but when he does, it means something.

James recently unveiled the LeBron James Innovation Center at the Nike headquarters in Oregon and it was quite a sight to behold.
Employees and fans came out in droves to support the endeavor.
Unsurprisingly, James was the main attraction of the opening and the video of him popping a champagne bottle is celebratory, fun, and just downright cool.
This is a sign of the power of James and his insistence on staying committed to the game and athletics even as he inches closer to retiring.
James’ Innovation
The new Nike center is going to be focused on research and development from some of the top sports scientists in the world, according to the Beaverton-based company.
The center has labs and practice gyms and even a full-sized basketball court, adorned with James’ image all over the place.
But there are also fields for soccer players and football players too.
Through the use of cameras and cutting-edge tech, Nike experts will be able to create new products to help athletes of the future.
This is obviously something James is very fascinated with and the inclusion of his name in the center not only brings in funding but also attaches serious importance to this brand new Nike project.
In the years ahead, you can expect to see a lot more of James doing things like this as he approaches his finish line in the NBA.
