Following his NBA championship season, Nikola Jokic didn’t even play basketball for a full month.
That led to multiple jokes about Jokic taking his NBA career as a 9-5 job and that he didn’t even like the game of basketball.
That’s obviously not the case, but the Denver Nuggets star is taking a different approach this offseason.
Perhaps for the first time ever, a clip of Jokic playing pick-up in the offseason went viral (Via NBA Central).

Jokic is a very private man and we rarely get to see him during the offseason, but that doesn’t mean he’s not putting in the work.
Also, we can’t ignore the fact that he was fresh off an exhausting season in 2023, as he made it all the way to the NBA Finals.
That wasn’t the case this year, as the Nuggets went home in the second round, thus giving him some more time to heal and restore his body.
On top of that, the reigning NBA MVP has committed to play for the Serbian national team in the Olympics, so he has to get his body in game shape earlier in the year this time around.
The Nuggets should continue to be a force in the league for as long as he’s out there and healthy, and the rest of the league should be very worried about him going on some sort of revenge tour after going home early in 2024.
