No player is more popular in Major League Baseball than Shohei Ohtani.
The two-way star is doing things that have never been done on a baseball field.
He is not just a fan favorite in America.
Coming from Japan gives Ohtani a worldwide fanbase that is hard to imagine.
Also, how he has played since coming to America has made it easy for people to love him.
This season, Ohtani is well on his way to another AL MVP trophy.
It would be his second in three years.
Also, he was elected to the All-Star Game for the third consecutive season.
Every media outlet imaginable wants to get a quote from Ohtani at the All-Star Game media day.
According to FOX Sports: MLB, people are lined up to get a chance to hear what Ohtani has to say.

What Ohtani is doing this season is legendary.
He leads all of baseball in home runs with 32 and is third in runs batted in with 71.
Not to mention he has been dominant on the mound.
Ohtani has a 7-4 record on the year with a 3.32 ERA.
He has thrown 100.1 innings and struck out 132 batters.
It seems like every time Ohtani steps on the field he is breaking a new record.
He has yet to turn 30 years old either, which is bad news for all of the opposing teams.
Yet, there remains a possibility Ohtani could be traded over the next month.
The Angels are not having a great season and find themselves outside the playoff picture.
If Ohtani were to get traded, that could be a move that changes the course of baseball history.
