After winning three straight games to start the Eastern Conference Finals and dropping the next three leading to a Game 7 against the Boston Celtics at TD Garden, the Miami Heat got the win and punched their ticket to the NBA Finals.
The eighth-seeded Heat will now take on the top-seeded Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals in what will be a classic underdog story that might end with Jimmy Butler and company lifting the Larry O’Brien Trophy when it’s all said and done.
In the meantime, this matchup will be analyzed to death by pundits and media members as we await Game 1 of this series on Thursday, which will get underway in Denver at Ball Arena.
With a few days left to celebrate the Heat defying the odds once again, Joy Taylor of Fox Sports, who is from Miami, couldn’t help but rub it in by joyfully dancing in front of her coworkers via Speak On FS1.
I think it’s safe to say that @JoyTaylorTalks is happy about her Miami Heat going to the NBA Finals! Today’s show will be a fun one! 😂 #HeatCulture pic.twitter.com/JxPkdlNe1j

This will be the first Finals appearance for the Heat since 2020 in the NBA bubble in Orlando, Florida when Erik Spoelstra’s squad lost to LeBron James’ Los Angeles Lakers.
Much like in that series three years ago, the Heat will be the underdogs in the Finals once again, but that’s familiar territory for this squad that has been the underdog throughout the entire NBA playoffs.
The Heat will be shooting for their third NBA title in the team’s history, while the Nuggets will be competing for their first NBA title in the franchise’s history.
