The Detroit Lions have plenty to be hopeful about as the 2023 NFL season approaches, and it seems like many people around the league believe they will be successful.
They’re the early favorites to finish first in the NFC North, as they won eight of their last 10 games in 2022 and came narrowly close to snatching the final playoff spot in the conference.
A recent video, via Bleacher Report, shows quarterback Jared Goff right on point with an eyes-closed pass to wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown during a practice session.

Goff stepped up his game last season by throwing for 4,438 yards and 29 touchdowns while achieving a passer rating of 99.3.
Those numbers were significantly higher than the numbers he had during his last two seasons with the Los Angeles Rams when he was seen as a lackluster signal-caller that couldn’t get them over the hump.
St. Brown, meanwhile, is a rising young stud who made the Pro Bowl for the first time in 2022, his second season, with 1,161 receiving yards.
Most of his production came during Detroit’s sprint during the last 10 games of the schedule, which suggests he may be even more productive this fall and winter.
One thing that will help the team is the fact that the rest of the NFC North won’t be that competitive.
The Minnesota Vikings, who won 13 games last season, look significantly weakened after the departures of Dalvin Cook and Adam Thielen, while the Green Bay Packers have lost franchise QB Aaron Rodgers and the Chicago Bears are still a work in progress.
The Lions are hoping to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
