Despite coming off a trip to the NBA Finals, the Miami Heat are being counted out by most people outside of South Florida, as usual, with the new season on the horizon.
They don’t have anywhere close to the offensive firepower that the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics possess, especially after the recent moves those two teams have made, and once again, they will have to rely on defense, grit, and resolve to give themselves a chance.
If the Heat are to get over the hump, it will take a good amount of internal improvement, and perhaps big man Bam Adebayo is looking to make it happen, as he was seen working on his 3-point shot, per Hoop Central.

Adebayo, who is entering his seventh season, is one of the league’s more intriguing big men, as he can handle the ball, create off the dribble, and even hit the open man at times.
He is also a tremendous defender who has been named to four All-Defensive First or Second teams and has been a front-running contender for the Defensive Player of the Year at least once.
Last season, Adebayo put up a career-high 20.4 points, as well as 9.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 blocked shots a game.
For Miami to make yet another deep run in the playoffs, they will not only need a bump in Adebayo’s production, but they will also need guard Tyler Herro to continue to progress, as well as development from second-year big man Nikola Jovic and rookie Jaime Jaquez Jr.
