New year, same old New York Giants.
Or perhaps, new year, same old Daniel Jones.
Having an improved offensive line and a legitimate alpha wide receiver out there didn’t do much to help Jones’ case.
And with all the time he’s been in the league, it only makes sense that the fans start losing their patience.
That’s why they waited for him outside of MetLife Stadium until he finally came out, but it wasn’t to ask for a pic or an autograph; it was to boo him (via uSTADIUM).

The Giants failed to score a single touchdown in the season opener, all while Saquon Barkley, the guy they moved on from, scored three of his own.
Jones completed 22 of 42 passes for 186 yards and two interceptions, finishing the game with a 44.3 passer rating.
He also was sacked five times, and at least three of those sacks weren’t on the offensive line.
Jones has been in the league for long enough for someone to realize that he might not be a starter at this level.
If anything, his career year was far from impressive, even if the Giants wound up winning a playoff game on the road.
He’s looked like this very same player since he entered the league, so he might be closer to being a finished product than anything else.
At this point, it would be very difficult to justify still trusting Daniel Jones to be any better than what we’ve seen from him over and over.
