This has been a summer of potential upheaval for Damian Lillard, as he has asked the Portland Trail Blazers to trade him, and he has specifically asked to be sent to the Miami Heat.
So far, with about a month left in the offseason, nothing has happened yet as far as a trade.
Regardless, Lillard has been getting in some training ahead of the new season, and that has included some boxing workouts, via ClutchPoints.

The star guard averaged a career-high 32.2 points, as well as 7.3 assists a game this past season, and even at age 33, he seems to be at the top of his game.
However, the Blazers have failed to put together a championship-caliber team around him during his 11 seasons with the franchise.
The furthest they have gone with him is the Western Conference Finals once, and they haven’t even made the playoffs since 2021.
Over the last couple of years, Portland has dismantled what had been a competitive team in favor of a youth movement, and thus they’re many years away from being able to compete for an NBA championship.
The drafting of Scoot Henderson earlier this summer may be the big harbinger of Lillard’s eventual departure.
If he is to eventually head to Miami, he would provide that team with the type of firepower it hasn’t had since it enjoyed the services of LeBron James.
The Heat are the defending Eastern Conference champs, but they were last in the league in scoring during the regular season, and they have simply lacked the firepower to defeat teams such as the Denver Nuggets, Boston Celtics, and Los Angeles Lakers consistently.
