Chris Paul of the Golden State Warriors certainly has his fair share of critics.
But no one can deny his skills or basketball IQ.
Paul is repeatedly cited as one of the most knowledgeable basketball players in the NBA.
And he was imparting some of that wisdom on young players the other day.
Draft Express, per Hoop Central, captured footage of Paul talking to players at a youth basketball camp, and he had a lot to say.
He commended them for their hustle but urged them to not be embarrassed to speak to one another.
He said that team leadership is all about dialogue, both with teammates and opponents.
This is the sort of insight that the up-and-coming athletes are going to soak up and use to their advantage in the years ahead.

Throughout his many years playing professional basketball, Paul has stepped up as a team leader again and again.
And, sure enough, he is a very vocal leader.
He will speak with the players on his team, competitors, refs, coaches, and even fans.
Paul is confident in what he believes and what he wants on the floor and he will speak up for it.
He was definitely the leader of the Phoenix Suns during his time there.
Now that he has moved on to the Warriors, no one is sure what role he will take on.
That team already has a team leader in Steph Curry.
But they surely want Paul’s advice and guidance too.
Right now, Paul is giving fired-up pep talks to young players at a basketball camp but in a few months, he will probably be giving the same to his Warriors squad.
