The Toronto Blue Jays have a strong core in place that features stars such as Bo Bichette, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., George Springer, Matt Chapman, and Whit Merrifield.
They’ve added to that core this offseason, acquiring Daulton Varsho from the Arizona Diamondbacks and signing free agents Kevin Kiermaier and Brandon Belt.
So far, the team appears to be feeling good vibes as we move closer to the start of spring training games and the 2023 season.
At Blue Jays camp, Bichette was seen taking batting practice and was taking some pretty healthy cuts.
MLB tweeted a video of Bichette’s BP session.

Bichette appears to be ready to go.
The swing he took was a pretty big one too.
The 24-year-old made his MLB debut with the Blue Jays in 2019 and has been a key piece of the puzzle for the team ever since.
He helped guide them to the postseason in 2020 and again in 2022.
Last season, the star shortstop hit for a .290 average, hit 24 home runs, drove in 93, and posted an OPS of .802.
For his career, Bichette owns a .297 mark at the plate with a total of 69 home runs and 239 RBI, as well as a WAR of 12.9 and an OPS of .831.
And he’s ready to do some more damage in 2023 as the Blue Jays try to bounce back from their devastating Wild Card Series loss to the Seattle Mariners.
Bichette can certainly help as the Blue Jays look to make another run, and swings like that certainly have Jays fans feeling pretty good about things.
