The New York Jets have a new swagger to them, and a lot of that has to do with Aaron Rodgers’ presence there.
The veteran quarterback gives his team a major boost of confidence, and rightfully so, considering the fact that he’s been there and done that for almost as long as some of his teammates have been alive.
That’s why Rodgers wanted New York Giants’ Jihad Ward to show some respect when they squared off in the preseason.
As shown in a clip shared by the NFL, Rodgers called him out for a late hit and told him to be more respectful, and when Ward seemed unfazed by the criticism, he simply stated that he didn’t even know who he was (via Bleacher Report).
Aaron Rodgers had a heated exchange after a late hit 🗣️
“Show some respect bro. I don’t even know who you are.”
…then he threw a TD. 🤷♂️

Ward tried to shake it off by saying that he didn’t know who Rodgers was either, but we all know that wasn’t true.
Ward likely grew up watching Rodgers dominate with the Packers.
As silly or little as these kinds of things might seem, especially in the preseason, having a guy like Rodgers out there affects everything from a psychological standpoint.
The Jets feel invincible right now, and sometimes that feeling is just what a team needs to make it true.
