The San Antonio Spurs just witnessed one of the greatest performances in recent NBA history.
One of their players became the 4th rookie to record a triple-double with blocks.
That someone was, of course, Victor Wembanyama, who joined the likes of David Robinson, Ralph Sampson, and Mark Eaton in that regard.
Notably, Wemby looked like a man on a mission even before the game started.
He arrived in the arena wearing a mask and some goggles, so it seems like he’s been quite inspired by Kanye West’s latest album, vulture.
Needless to say, his outfit went viral in the blink of an eye, so people weren’t that surprised to see he meant business as soon as he touched the court (via Bleacher Report).

The No. 1 pick scored 27 points on 10-of-14 shooting, grabbed 14 rebounds, handed out five assists, had two steals, and blocked ten shots.
He led the Spurs to just their 11th win of the season in a 23-point win over the Toronto Raptors.
Wembanyama’s numbers have been eclipsed by a terrible season from his team, but they should not be overlooked.
In just his first season in the league, the French big man has averaged 20.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 1.6 three-pointers, 1.1 steals, and a league-leading 3.2 blocks per game on 46.8% from the floor.
Those numbers shouldn’t help him be just the leading candidate to win Rookie of the Year but should also put him in the MVP conversation if his team hadn’t struggled so badly.
Even so, given the way he’s playing, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise to see the Spurs get much better sooner rather than later.
